The word ‘Kuno’ dirives from Indoneasian meaning ‘ancient’
Our resort is sustainably built using reclaimed and recycled old teak wood and antique Javanese houses “Joglos’ which were once the residence of noble Indonesian families, fully restored to there former glory re-erected by traditional craftsmen yet with modern design and furnishing with an Indonesian, French and English influence by The Old Tree Company and Sasuka interior designers.

Kuno Villas is a unique island eco resort merging beauty, luxury and nature upon a tropical Indonesian atoll. We offer a number of luxurious private pool villas and charmingly elegant rooms overlooking a beautifully landscaped swimming pool.

Joglo Pool Side Room
The poolside room’s terraces overlook a beautiful central swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens and in-water sunbeds.
The rooms are built from ancient antique Joglo houses with majestic teak center pieces. There is a daybed that can serve as an extra bed plus coffee and tea facilities with mini bar. The bathrooms offer a rain shower with decking surrounded by fresh water ponds, fish and plants.
Sumba Pool Side Room
These poolside rooms offer a terrace overlooking a beautiful central swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens and in-water sunbeds.
The rooms are constructed from old antique cattle barns with bespoke designed beds and interiors. There is a daybed that can become an extra bed plus coffee and tea facilities with mini bar. The bathrooms offer a rain shower and cast iron bath tub with decking surrounded by fresh water ponds, fish and plants.
Villa Gaia - 2 bedrooms villa
This luxurious open plan two bedroom villa offers a secluded private swimming pool with waterfall and lush gardens giving a fusion of indoor and outdoor living. The main building is a beautifully restored 130 year old Javanese Joglo which houses the master bedroom and spacious en suit bathroom with rain shower and bath tub. The second bedroom opens directly over the pool and includes an outside en suit with rain shower.
This villa has a fully equipped kitchen with oven , espresso machine and large fridge/freezer, breakfast bar and cold water dispenser.
This villa is perfect for couples or familes.
Joglo Jade - 3 bedrooms villa
Joglo Jade offers private gardens and a large swimming pool with waterslide for the kids. There are 3 bedrooms all offering en suite bathrooms and rain showers.
The Joglo is over 120 years old and presents a spacious living and dinning area plus a large fully equipped kitchen with oven, espresso machine , breakfast bar and cold water dispenser. This villa is great for couples or families with plenty of space to enjoy.
The Barong - 6 bedrooms villa
The Barong offers 6 standalone bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms overlooking a beautifully landscaped swimming pool and gardens. The barong is an original Javanese antique structure housing a full working kitchen including an espresso machine, dining and lounge area allowing indoor-outdoor living fusing beauty, comfort and quality.

LOMBOK TOUR
Ride upon a beautiful horse from Trawangans stables around the island and through coconut plantations or gallop along the waters edge, finishing the perfect afternoon stopping at dusk to witness the magnificent sunset over Mt.Agung on the island of Bali.
KAYAKING & PADDLE BOARDING
Rent hourly or daily quality stand up paddle boards, single or double kayaks which may be paddled across to neighbouring islands. Dry bags are provided and daily lessons are available.
HORSE RIDING

SURFING

Trawangan has some very good board riding as does gili Air. Join the local surfers on this uncrowded right hand reef break. Boards are available to rent and private lessons available
SNORKELING
Trawangan island waters are calm and clear, ideal for snorkeling over the reefs to view the turtles gliding below and the abundant fish life. Meters from Kuno villas beach, the shoreline drops away to beautiful coral reefs. Alternatively, we can organize a group or private boat to take you around the 3 islands for snorkeling.
SCUBA DIVING
The Gili islands national marine park is a Mecca for divers of all levels. The surrounding coral reefs are teaming with reef fishes and sea life. Year round you will see turtles, reef sharks, cuttlefish, eagle rays and untold species of colorful coral fishes. During certain months the islands are visited by manta rays and the occasional whale shark.
